As lead author, Dr. Shehata’s work was published in Frontiers in Microbiology. The study explains the method development for the strain-specific identification and enumeration of strain L. paracasei 8700:2.

“As this PCR method is strain specific, this methodology can identify and enumerate individual strains in multi-strain products,” says Dr. Shehata. “It can be used as a cost-effective testing method for both brand owners and manufacturers alike.”
